Bucks New University currently has more than 8,000 students registered and has continued to expand since gaining university status in 2007. Bucks New University was originally established in 1893 as the School of Science and Art and is known for offering many specific courses such as the award-winning Air Transport with Commercial Pilot Training. Most undergraduate and postgraduate students studied at the main campus in High Wycombe, whereas a smaller campus in Uxbridge held classes for the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing.
